DescriptionCranium and mandible.
This specimen has been described by Gaffney (1975) as the type genus and species for Solnhofia parsoni. Although the exact locality for the specimen is not know, Gaffney states is is "probably Bavaria" (Gaffney 1975: p. 3). The exact horizon is not known, but other specimens of the species have been found in the Upper Jurassic of the Solnhofen area (Joyce 2000).
The specimen is not featured in online collection catalogue of the Teylers Musem, but the link included in the "URL to specimen record in home repository" is provided as a link to the Museum's webpage.
