Description
The ventral part of the right prootic was affected by a fracture, resulting in a collapse of the dorsal parts of the prootic, which houses the anterior semicircular canal (ASC). As a result, the ASC was ventrally deflected at the prootic-supraoccipital suture, but the canal curvature and length were still perfectly preserved within the displaced prootic. Therefore, we separated the ASC from the remainder of the endosseous labyrinth as a separate model, and re-articulated both parts in Blender. The cranial and labyrinth reconstructions were done in the same Blender file to preserve the geometric relationships between the cranium and the labyrinth.
