The mandible is mostly complete, with its right anterior corner eroded away. The mandible is well ossified with a narrow and elongate mandibular symphysis. The right side is damaged anteriorly and ventrally, but the left external dermal bones are intact.

The Australian National University (ANU) High Resolution X-ray Computed Tomography Facility (Sakellariou et al. 2004) was used to examine the internal structures of the neurocranium, dermal skull and mandible. The ANU-created software Drishti was used to visualise the tomographic data sets.
