University of Texas High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility Archive 0368 Swidersk: columbia: Warp corrected scans and image processing of the skull of a female Spermophilus columbianus ruficaudus (UM 99308; Washington, Walla Walla Co., Touchet, collected by P. Clifton on 11 April, 1951) . Scanned for Don Swiderski of the University of Michigan, Museum of Zoology. Scanned by Matthew Colbert on 7/29/00. Image processing by Jessie Maisano. Original scans on Archive 0254. Warp corrections applied by Holly Nance, April 2001. Original scan parameters. II, 120 kV, 0.2 mA, no filter, air wedge, 160% offset, slice thickness 3 lines (= 0.138 mm), S.O.D. 90 mm, 1200 views, 2 samples per view, interslice spacing 3 lines (=0.138 mm), field of reconstruction 39 mm (maximum field of view 40.09 mm), reconstruction offset 630, reconstruction scale 33. Scanned in three-slice mode. warpcorr (16bit): The above images modified with IDL software “Unwarp v.1.0” written by Dr. Richard Ketcham to correct for radial distortion of images introduced by ACTIS scanning software. Corrected images are now 522 pixels by 522 pixels, resulting in a revised field of reconstruction of 39.762 mm.
