University of Texas High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility Archive 1202
Rowe:
Gavia: Scans of the skull of Gavia immer (TCWC 13, 300) for Dr. Timothy Rowe of the Department of Geological Sciences, The University of Texas at Austin. Specimen scanned by Matthew Colbert 25 March 2005 in 2 parts due to size. Specimen shifted in mount between scansets.
16bit: 1024x1024 16-bit TIFF images. II, 180 kV, 0.133 mA, no filter, empty container wedge, no offset, slice thickness 2 lines (= 0.1092 mm), S.O.D. 160 mm, 1000 views, 2 samples per view, inter-slice spacing 2 lines (= 0.1092 mm), field of reconstruction 52 mm (maximum field of view 52.38132 mm), reconstruction offset 6600, reconstruction scale 1800. Acquired with 15 slices per rotation. Scansets combined prior to all processing. Drift-removal processing done by Susan Garlock based on correction of raw sinogram data using IDL routine “RK_SinoDeDrift” with parameters “driftlength=21” and “goodfile=1275.” Reconstructed with default parameters. Overlapping slices deleted and adjacent slices in each scanset matched for position using Photoshop. Rotation correction processing done by Susan Garlock using IDL routine “DoRotationCorrection’. Total final slices = 1455.
