Rowe:
lycae: Scans of the skull of Lycaenops angusticeps (UCMP 42701, Cistecephalus Zone, South Africa, Beaufort, Cape Prov.) for Timothy Rowe of The University of Texas at Austin and Trond Sigurdssen of the University of California Berkeley. Specimen scanned by Matthew Colbert 16 March 2010.
16bit: 1024x1024 16-bit TIFF images. P250D, 450 kV, 3.3 mA, large spot size, 1 brass filter, empty container wedge, 130% offset, integration time 32 ms, slice thickness = 0.5 mm, S.O.D. 662 mm, 1400 views, 1 ray per view, 1 sample per view, inter-slice spacing = 0.45 mm, field of reconstruction 171.8693 mm (maximum field of view 174.9268 mm. Field of view reported on scan form corresponds to a corrected value after applying a correction of 1.005514%. Field of view used in ACTIS equals 170.9268 mm. Reported maximum field of view reflects uncorrected value. This scan was originally archived with an incorrectly reported field of view, which was corrected in August, 2010.), reconstruction offset 4000, reconstruction scale 4000. Streak- and ring-removal processing done by Satomi Ishihama based on correction of raw sinogram data using IDL routines “RK_SinoDeStreak” with parameters “cutoff=0.06” and “RK_SinoRingProcSimul” with parameter “bestof5=11 (for all of the slices), slope_check=60 (for slices 378-392).” Reconstructed with beam hardening coefficients [0, 0.85, 0.05]. Post- reconstruction ring removal processing done by Satomi Ishihama based on correction of 16bit images using UTCT ring correction program with parameters “oversample=2.0, binwidth=21, sectors=60, grayscales=27904-65535.” Total final slices = 580.
