University of Texas High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility Archive 2443 Geisler: V10484: Scans of a right petrosal of Squalodon calvertensis (USNM 10484) for Jonathan Geisler of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Specimen scanned by Matthew Colbert 25 April 2011. 16bit: 1024x1024 16-bit TIFF images. II, 210 kV, 0.17 mA, intensity control off, high-power mode, no filter, air wedge, no offset, slice thickness 1 line ( = 0.01568 mm), S.O.D. 45 mm, 1400 views, 3 samples per view, inter-slice spacing 1 line ( = 0.01568 mm), field of reconstruction 13 mm (maximum field of view 14.96976 mm), reconstruction offset 5000, reconstruction scale 2000, X offset = 0.7, Y offset = 0.3. Acquired with 31 slices per rotation and 25 slices per set. Drift-, streak-, and ring-removal processing done by Satomi Ishihama based on correction of raw sinogram data using IDL routines “RK_SinoDeDrift” with parameter “/hi50,” “RK_SinoDeStreak” with default parameters, and “RK_SinoRingProcSimul” with parameter “sectors=20.” Reconstructed with beam hardening coefficients using IDL FindBHC [Y found= 0.41, 0.05, 0.05, 0.05, 0.05, 0.06, 0.06, 0.07, 0.07, 0.08, 0.08, 0.09, 0.10, 0.11, 0.13, 0.15, 0.17, 0.25, 0.33, 0.50, 1.75 with parameters “Num Coef=20, Downsample=None, ROI mode=one material, Mono Function, Fix Endpoints, Non-Decreasing Shape”] and 1402 views. Deleted first 6 duplicate slices from each rotation. Post-reconstruction ring correction applied by Satomi Ishihama using parameters oversample = 3, binwidth =13, sectors = 60 over the GS range of 1792-65535. Total final slices = 700.
