Full description
Skull of a caecilian, Typhlonectes natans, with bones colored and labelled to demonstrate skull anatomy.
Scene by Jaimi Gray. 3D model produced from a CT scan of specimen UF herp 192402. Segmentation and mesh files generated using 3D Slicer (version 3.5). Meshes further edited in Blender. Anatomy follows Wake (2003) “The Osteology of Caecilians” in Amphibian Biology, Volume 5, Morphology H (Heatwole and Davies). Caecilian image by Zach Randall.
