University of Texas High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility Archive 1376 Rowe: Odobenus_adult: Scans of the skull of Odobenus rosmarus divergens (MVZ 125566; Pitmega River, Cape Sabine, United States, Alaska 31 Jul 1959; skull marked female) for Tim Rowe of The University of Texas at Austin, and DigiMorph. Specimen scanned by Richard Ketcham 4 January 2006. 16bit: 1024x1024 16-bit TIFF images. P250D, 419 kV, 1.8 mA, no filter, empty container wedge, 190% offset, 32 ms integration time, slice thickness = 0.5 mm, S.O.D. 727 mm, 1400 views, 1 ray averaged per view, 1 sample per view, inter-slice spacing = 0.45 mm, field of reconstruction 279 mm (maximum field of view 291.18 mm), reconstruction offset 5000, scanner scale 6000, reconstruction scale 1800. Ring-removal processing done by Alison Mote based on correction of raw sinogram data using IDL routine “RK_SinoRingProcSimul” with parameters “progbinwidth=15, b5minatt=0.5, bestof5=11.” Reconstructed with an angle of -172 degrees (clockwise). Total slices = 833.
