University of Texas High-Resolution X-ray CT Facility Archive 1806 Olori: pant2040: Scans of the skull of Pantylus (MCZ 2040; Archer City Bonebed, Archer Co., Texas, coll. E.C. Olsen 10 April 1952) for Jen Olori of the Department of Geological Sciences, The University of Texas at Austin. Specimen scanned by Matthew Colbert 28 January 2008. 16bit: 1024x1024 16-bit TIFF images. II, 210 kV, 0.12 mA, intensity control on, high-power mode, no filter, air wedge, no offset, slice thickness 1 line (= 0.09027 mm), S.O.D. 260 mm, 1400 views, 4 samples per view, inter-slice spacing 1 line (= 0.09027 mm), field of reconstruction 86 mm (maximum field of view 86.2 mm), reconstruction offset 5400, reconstruction scale 3400. Acquired with 31 slices per rotation and 25 slices per set. Ring-removal processing done by Rachel Racicot based on correction of raw sinogram data using IDL routine “RK_SinoRingProcSimul” with parameters “binwidth=21, bestof5=11”. Deleted last six duplicate slices of each rotation. Post-reconstruction ring correction applied by Rachel Racicot using the parameters oversample=3, binwidth=31, sectors=60, smoothing=median. First five and last two blank slices deleted. Total final slices = 393.
