3D scans of human and faunal skeletal elements associated with the OsteoID Bone Identification web tool at www.boneidentification.com. As part of the OsteoID project, we are making 3D scans of bones from various common U.S. species freely available, so that individuals may use the 3D scans to assist them in skeletal species identifications and/or 3D print their own comparative skeletal collections. All scanned elements are from the Des Moines University skeletal collections. Any human remains scanned are anatomical teaching specimens. Development of the OsteoID web tool and collection of the 3D scans was supported by Award No. 2018-DU-BD-0229, awarded by the National Institute of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. The opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this publication/program/exhibition are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily reflect those of the Department of Justice. A special thanks to Nathan Kuttickat for his time and effort in collecting many of these scans.
