The Duke Lemur Center at Duke University houses the largest captive colony of lemurs in the world. We are committed to maintaining this facility as an open resource for science and education. We consider the physical cadavers of deceased animals from our colony vital data for studying lemur biology and are committed to maintaining those physical resources on the premises and making them as accessible as possible. One way we aim to increase the accessibility of this collection is through digital imaging and dissemination of these cadavers virtually through MorphoSource.
