Full description
The anocleithrum (aclm) is preserved in association with the
rear of the skull (Fig. 2C, D). It is approximately twice as long
as broad and irregularly shaped (Fig. 6N, O). The anocleithrum
has an elongate anterodorsal process (pr.ad) and a shorter anterior
process (pr.a) that carries a strong median ridge (ri). The
posterior blade is bounded ventrally by this ridge and is rectangular
in shape with a smooth surface. The thin postbranchial lamina (l.brn) of the anocleithrum lies ventral to this median
ridge and is fan-shaped with a smooth surface.

Description
The Australian National University (ANU) High Resolution X-ray Computed Tomography Facility (Sakellariou et al. 2004) was used to examine the internal structures of the neurocranium, dermal skull and mandible. The ANU-created software Drishti was used to visualise the tomographic data sets.
